Washoku – Bringing Japan to Mumbai – via your stomachs!
‘Washoku – the Japanese food festival’ has arrived but with a twist, this time they are hitting the streets. Dadar catering college (IHM, Mumbai) with Maidoindia have collaborated once again to bring the street food and culture of Japan to Mumbai.
The festival held at the campus started off as an endeavour by the students to bring Japanese cuisine to India and has turned out to be on of the most popular food festivals, acknowledged with a Guinness world record for the largest sushi mosaic. During the festival, the visitors can expect to experience various aspects of Japanese culture like the Green Tea ceremony, Ikebana displays and Origami along with authentic bites including Okonomiyaki and sushi along with scrumptious desserts.
International chef Shinya Saito will be flying down especially to train and guide the students.
