All the B.E. students were jubiliant when the CET, which is normally conducted in the month of May was preponed to February. Most of the engineering students also have their semester exams in May-June, hence until last year a lot of students could not appear for CET. But their happiness was short lived. Many students appearing for the CET have been issued their GD/PI dates etween 25th May and 3rd June. These dates clash with the semester exams that begin on 25th May!
The remaining lucky few will be able to go ahead with the CET process. The others will just have to wait for one more year to pursue their management dream. Even CAT was right in the middle of the seventh semester exams. Considering the fact that the maximum number of students going in for an MBA are engineers, why can’t the university work its way around the dates of two major exams? They can always hold them during months when no one has exams – like February or just before Diwali.
