Pragyan, the much awaited technical fiesta of The National Institute of Technology Tiruchirapalli explodes from 28th to 31st January 2006
With over twenty two events in various disciplines, Pragyan aims to reach out to the future technicians and thinkers of India. Software contests, design problems, contraption and circuit modeling form a wide spectrum. You can lookout for some excitement with innovative events, competitions, guest lectures and workshops.
Many high profile guest will be making an appearance – Prof. Yash Pal(Former UGC Chairman), Mr. Chris Gill (President and CEO of CGS&M, Chair Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs) and Christopher Charles Benninger (One of India’s top most architects, Winner of the Designer of the Year Award, 1998).
The star attraction definitely is the Hacking Workshop by Ankit Fadia and an Aero modelling workshop by IAF. There are a good number of online events which will help aspirers across the seven seas to participate as well. Pragyan has already received registrations for from several countries including the United States, Russia, Australia, South Africa and Bangladesh in this category.
Pragyan takes care of everyone’s cup of tea with events in almost every discipline and numerous general events requiring no branch specific knowledge. Most of the events take into consideration spectator interest too, so you can look forward to be entertained.
Paper presentation contest is welcoming novel theories and proposals from the inventors. Working prototypes and blueprints are invited in the modeling contest and students from both the circuital and non-circuital branches are provided with a variety of ventures to convey their ideas.
Fuelbird is the car racing contest, while Avishkar is a working model contest. Adaventure will bring out the best in computers from a team as they go through web designing, debugging, hacking and software development.
Robotic freaks will be happy with Robovigyan, a part of Pragyan. Common sense and practical creativity will be a great boost to your chances at Dexter’s Lab. Watch the teams try and make their own Leaning Tower of Pisa in Sanrachna. Keep your adrenaline on a high, as teams battle it out in Junkyard Wars, similar to the famous TV series.
“All work and no play” is redundant at Pragyan, with lot of events to lighten up the mood and entertain the participants. Infotainment includes 3D laser show, movie release and a talk show with director and a pyrotechnic show.
Apart from the events, companies are also provided with a platform to showcase their latest technologies and advancements. Promulgating the spirit of technology on a global basis, A massive cumulative cash prize of Rs.4.00 Lakhs is at stake.
