Jaya and Yogi set out on a short journey to retrace past relationships and end up in the most eventful, strange, crazy trip of their lives. This short journey through Rishikesh, Bikaner and Gangtok with the ups and downs, the missed trains and taxi rides, the heartbreak and the mending of old friendships, the quarrels and self-discovery, sweeps Jaya and Yogi away, and indeed us as well, into a very special unforgettable experience.
Irrfan Khan is great as usual with superb dialogues written for him he is on a rolL, Actress Parvathy Menon is not far beehind, her irritated temperament and constant rolling her eyes in a huff is superb. The background music is excellent and the songs have perfect hard hitting and apt to situations.
The script and the plot of the movie is very well written and perfectly directed by veteran Tanuja Chandra.
The screenplay in some parts maybe just takes a dip and interest does wane but not for long.
Qarib Qarib Singlle is a coming of age modern day romance with not so young couple trying to know each other and tolerate each other on a road trip which is funny.
My Rating 3.5 of 5 stars.
