Movie Review; Murder on the Orient Express

Director – Kenneth Branagh
Cast – Kenneth Branagh, Michelle Pfeiffer. Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, William Daffoe, Josh Gad, Derreck Jacobi, Leslie Odom Jr., Daisy Ridley.
Plot – A lavish trip through Europe quickly unfolds into a race against time to solve a murder aboard a train. When an avalanche stops the Orient Express dead in its tracks, the world’s greatest detective — Hercule Poirot — arrives to interrogate all passengers and search for clues before the killer can strike again.
What’s Good – The movies is based on the original Novel of Agatha Christie with the same name. And this movie is  the 7th version of the novel.
The movie has a lovely old world charm with the classic train ride, recreating the old world charm, the cities, recreation of perfectly dressed ladies and gentlemen,  everything is vintage and classic beauty.
Director, lead actor and co-producer Kenneth Branagh brings all his acting skill and directing experience together to create the character of detective Hercule Poirot and an old fashioned murder mystery into an enjoyable and interesting entertaining journey with an ensemble cast.
What’s Bad – The movie is long and gets a bit boring for a short while with the detailed investigation, in the second half.
My Verdict –  A vintage classic novel based Detective murder mystery which makes for an old fashioned beautiful nostalgic entertainment with solid acting performances.
My Rating – 4 of 5
