Plot – Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny on the plains of Africa. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother — and former heir to the throne — has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is soon ravaged with betrayal, tragedy, and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. Now, with help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba must figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.
What’s Good –
The Hindi voiceover star cast is simply perfect and Ashish Vidyarthi as Scar the antagonist is superb.
Shreyas Talpade and Sanjay Mishra as Timon and Pumba are so superb and their hilarious dialogues will tickle your funny bone.
The grand scale of the movie the graphics and the brilliant VFX is just class-leading. The songs sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Arman Malik are done very well.
What’s Bad –
The new movie though inspired frame to frame from the 1994 Animated Classic Lion King and it has much better technology at its disposal seems to have a disconnect somewhere to the audience as it just fails to grip your attention as much as the original.
My Verdict –
This real-life computerized remake is a grand movie which will stick in your head for its opulence and a great opportunity for the younger generation to watch this classic story.
My Rating 4 of 5 stars
