Movie Review: Housefull 4

Housefull 4 is a fourth instalment of the Housefull franchise directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwalla. The cast includes Akshay Kumar, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda,  Kriti Sannon, Johnny Lever, Chunky Pandey,  Ranjeet,  Parikshit Sahni, Sharad Kelkar,  Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Manoj Pahwa.

The story revolves around three good for nothing brothers who live in London and are in love with three sisters. Then they recall a memory of their birth 600 years ago precisely 1419 in Sitamgar, India after which they realize that they have fallen in love with their sisters in law.

What’s Good:

The film is a hilarious and crazy slapstick comedy throughout. Well edited, well written and well-directed. Akshay Kumar and Ritiesh Deshmukh are excellent.

Bobby Deol and the three Actresses are decent. Of the three actresses, Kriti Sannon gave the best performance. Chunky Pandey and Johnny Lever offer superb comic timing and dialogues justifying the genre at its best. Veteran Actor Ranjeet gives an affable performance in his signature style.

The songs are not great to listen too but they are shot very well and are worth watching.

What’s Bad:

It’s just a comical time pass movie that does not make much sense whatsoever and path-breaking cinema must not be expected.

Verdict:

Bollywood slapstick masala comedy and pass time for a good laugh.
