The story is about a 10-year-old boy who gets separated from his father and sister during the tumultuous partition of 1947. He is left with the responsibility of his mother and two younger siblings.
He meets up with this young kid Vilayti Khan who becomes his best friend lifelong partner and family.
That along with his life of ups and downs and. Various job changes and adventures are the crux of the movie. The movie is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is a remake of the 2014 Korean Film ‘Ode to my Father’
What’s Good – Three leading ladies
Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, and Nora Fatehi bring about a welcome glamour and excitement quotient providing a reprieve to an otherwise dull movie they are literally the saving grace. Sunil Grover proves his mettle as a character actor apart from being a comedian. Salman Khan is different from his usual funny and action roles and has bravely tried to experiment here. Now, whether the experiment a success or not, the movie’s performance seems to suggest, yes
The script is outdated and has many loopholes the movie just doesn’t seem convincing enough in any of its scenes. The movie starts off with a patriotic theme shifts to romance again turns about to emotional drama and gives you very little of a comedy dose here and there. In the end, it does not belong to any genre. Salman Khan working in a film with no entertainment no comedy no action is absolutely unacceptable to a Salman fan the one single action scene in the climax looks uncomfortably stiff and unconvincing.
Bharat tries to portray a very ambitious project and tries to get to many things yet the movie fails to get anywhere and achieves nothing till the end.
My Rating 2.5 of 5 stars.
