Restaurant Review: Cafe Mangii
Good Ambience, strictly OK Pizzas.
If you are bored with pizzas from Dominos, Pizza Hut & Smokin Joes then here is a petite Italian cottage like restaurant you can go to. It\\\’s called Café Mangii, nestled in the heart of suburbs of Mumbai. This restaurant is Off Linking Road, Khar (West). They have branches in Powai, Seven Bungalows as well as Panjim in Goa.
The restaurant has a pretty lawn in the front. You enter through a small door. Once you enter, it’s quite dark inside. The wall is painted yellow but due to poor lighting you do not see much of the décor.
The USP of the restaurant is freshly baked pizzas. They have an open kitchen so you can see pizza being made in front of you which is quite a sight. Food includes pasta, soup, fondue, salad, pizza & dessert. They have world coffees such as Jamaican & Columbian and flavoured coffees such as Hazelnut & Vanilla. Prices start from Rs 80 and go up to Rs 225. They also have a liquor bar. Pizza is served all day.
I ordered Greenfield Calzone which is stuffed pizza with mozzarella, ricotta, spinach, glazed onion, mushroom and roasted zucchini (Rs 485). They serve only large pizzas. It wasn’t as cheesy as I would have liked, the dough seemed a bit dry and hard. I would have expected it to be better than other Italian restaurants.
They have home delivery and accept meal coupons as well. Cafe Mangii is a place you can try if you love experimenting with food for fun!
