NITIE the B-School is hosting a week long series of festivals – their culfest called Arohan (Oct 19-20) concluded with a bang. The two day culfest is followed by Josh (Oct 21-22) the sports fest and then Avartan the business fest (22 onwards). This is the Golden Jubilee Year of NITIE.
A vibrant and colourful two days saw tonnes of events. Dance, music, Bollywood and non-stop fun got the crowd going. From rock concerts to graffiti, from short films to street plays, the cultural fest has something for every one. The event draws participants not only from within Mumbai but also the top B-Schools from all over India. Events ranging from plays, pop and rock shows, fusion and fashion shows kept the atmosphere electric and there was never a dull moment.
Headbangerz The festival got rolling with the event, Headbangerz Arena which saw upcoming college bands battling it out to be the next ‘Metallica’. The event was won by the band “Wired Anxiety” from Saint Xavier’s College Mumbai.
CHALCHITRA the ideal platform for the aspiring directors and actors to display their talents and to set the screen ablaze.
Aarohan also had something for painters. Doodle the graffiti competition where the artists let their imagination soar and let the colours do the talking. Other events included Surkshetra, Mosaic, Open Shutter, Informalz…
