Ideas are dime a dozen “it’s the execution that sets one apart from the other. Aahan, the annual festival of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Managament is the effort of the students to break the monotony of the general trend that college festivals have come to be associated with.
Each festival caters to a certain audience, and has its own specials to offer. It’s here that Aahan strikes gold. An amalgamation of the three professional fields of Media, Management and I.T. ” it offers something for everybody. It seeks to provide every member of the student community a chance to hone their natural skills and acquired talents.
Before the three streams culminated to form Aahan 2011 and Aahan 2012, its students have hosted three festivals aimed at the diverse student population. These were sixteen:nine International Film Festival, initiated by the BMM faculty, Chip IT of B.Sc. (IT) and Gran Exito of BMS.
Our Corporate events like L.E.A.D and Production House educate outside the classroom, giving you an opportunity to get a hands-on experience of the professional world ” a quality that gains immense importance in these times driven by corporate attitude, and give you an edge in the cut-throat competition that life after college will become. There are Media events like Journalism and Actor Hunt for the creative bugs with a passion for theatre and media. We strive to bring the best under one roof, while bringing the creative conundrum to the spirit of competition. I.T. events for Website and Software- making and Hacking are a magnet for the tech savvy. But before you start to believe it’s all work and no play, stop. There are the sports and gaming events, for both indoor and outdoor gaming enthusiasts as also the Pronites that will provide a perfect way to unwind and let your hair down. In addition, this year we also have Literary Arts- for the budding writers, Fine Arts- for those who need colour and canvas to convey a million emotions, Photography- for those who capture moments that others look back at and cherish and Informal events- that add groove to the mood.
