Washoku Food Fest – Mumbai
Dadar Catering College, along with Maido India recently gave a Japanese treat to Mumbaikars by hosting a 4-day Japanese food and cultural festival named ‘Washoku’ from 21st to 24th October. On being the 4th consecutive year of this festival, an excited Anuj Jodhani, Director of Maido India said, “The main idea is to get Japan closer to India through food, art and culture. This was a fantastic opportunity to showcase all these elements and reach out to as many people as possible”.
The guests were welcomed by students of the catering college dressed in Japanese attire and guided through the event which resembled a chaotic street in Japan with lots of food stalls.
The Japanese spread had a variety of dishes to indulge in, from tasty pancakes to energetic green tea to yummy pastries, spicy noodles and soups, and not to forget everyone’s favorite Sushi, of course.
Adding to the fun, all foodies also got a chance to pose for photographs wearing the Japanese traditional dress
