Restaurant review- Imbiss

I have been to Bandra a lot of times, to a lot of different places and so I thought that I’ve seen everything there is to see there. But I guess we kind of get so mainstream about places that we don’t look at the treasures in the nooks and crannies.

Imbiss is a small, intimate restaurant in a tiny lane a little ahead of Bandra, an area I have never been to before. And there I discovered a modern hardcore German non vegetarian restaurant that is pocket friendly. It’s off the road so it feels like a totally different area altogether and if you’re a person who really knows their food, you will be glad to know that they do too. You can ask for your steak medium rare and they will know what you mean. The food is tasteful and modern, the meat has depth in it’s flavours and it is cooked really well, packed with seasoning to the last drop of gravy. The ambience is a little hipster but nice and comfortable. It’s quite tiny but that’s the way it is.

Some things to definitely try are the sausage platter especially for first timers or newbie non vegetarians, Weiner Schnitzel, Smoked Pork with Fat and Rind, Beef Burger, Bavarian Ham and Cheese Sandwich, Milanesa Nepolitana, and Baby Back Spare Ribs. So break away from the typical food chains and give this hidden gem a try.
