Rohan(Hrithik Roshan) a blind man happens to meet Supriya (Yami Gautam) who is also blind they become friends and in a couple of dates fall madly in love with each other. They get married and suddenly tragedy hits them and makes life miserable for them.
The police don’t help due to the political clout of their oppressor and the couple become hapless blind victims. Until one day Rohan decides to take things into his own hands. Rest is for you to see.
Hrithik Roshan gives this movie his career best performance his blind blank look is very convincing. When he is angry you see shades of an angry young Amitabh Bachchan in his walk he is absolutely superb in the action scenes like I said a superb performance his best yet.
The whole star cast does a stellar job in the acting department with special mention for Ronit Roy, Yami Gautam and Girish Kulkarni,
Urvashi Rautela does a special item number ‘Saara Zamana’ and she just sizzles the screen. The movie very strongly highlights the lack of empathy by our officials, rampant corruption and wrong use of power in our system portrays a strong warning message to our society.
The movie has a dark theme which is quintessential Sanjay Gupta signature style which we have been seeing in all his past movies – Zinda, Jazbaa, Kaante, Plan, Musafir. I just don’t understand his fixation with this style of photography and vfx and treatment of the movie it just marrs the visual experience for the audience. This movie is awesome but with a different director it could have been awesome.
A movie that is different and special and sadly very true to our country’s poor state of law and order. Go watch it for Hrithik and the brilliant story.
My Ratings 3.5/5 stars.
