Director – Siddharth Malhotra
After several interviews and numerous rejections, a woman who has Tourette’s syndrome lands a job as a teacher at an elite school. She soon tries to do whatever she can to make her rebellious and trouble making students realize their full potential.
Rani Mukherjee’s performance is the real star of the film she plays her impairment act to perfection and yet doesn’t falter even slightly in being a responsible and caring teacher. The entire child star cast too is portrayed very well – exactly as what slum dwellers personality is like. Actor Neeraj Kabi played his role as teacher Wadia, par excellence.
The story line is emotionally touching and grips you till the climax. We have all had one teacher who has forged a bond with us in school. Hichki and Rani will remind you of that teacher.
Couldn’t pick out a single flaw.
A classroom drama that will teach you accepting every single thing and person is the right way and the fact that perseverance will always lead to success.
My Rating 5 on 5 stars
