The story of a woman trapped in the confines of her own choices, Bucket List chronicles the life of a 40-year-old housewife, Madhura Sane, who takes off on a journey to self-discovery when she stumbles upon a choice that could change her life forever.
What’s Good –
Madhuri Dixit makes a comeback on screen again and at age 51 she makes her debut into Marathi Cinema,
And yes she still manages to look gorgeous for her age and enacts and emotes beautifully in her character of a housewife who is going to fulfill the bucket list of a teenager.Sumeet Raghavan as her husband underplays his role to give prominence to his onscreen and off-screen Superstar wife.
Shubha Khote and Vandana Gupte the two senior veteran ladies are seriously good in their performance. All the teenager kids in the movie are good actors in the making. The plot of the movie is a beautiful concept and weaves in excellent acting performances from the whole star cast making it an enjoyable feel good family drama. And what’s more this movie has raked in more crowds than John Abraham’s Parmanu all thanks to the mettle of dancing diva Madhuri Dixit who has proven stronger than all muscle John.
What’s Bad –
The film has too many cliches,Suffers poor screenplay and editing and the scenes feel overstretched too far and too long.
My Verdict –
A pleasure to see Madhuri back on screen in not such a perfect film but yet it’s a fresh concept definitely worth a watch.
My Rating – 3 of 5 Stars
