The film’s plot is based on a Gujarati Play by the same name.
Dattatraya Vakharia is a 102-year-old man who wants to break the record of oldest living male. There’s just one problem, he must find a way to change the sad and grumpy demeanor of his 75-year-old son.
What’s Good –
The acting performances is the best part of the movie Amitabh Bachchan who is really 76 years old in real life brings a perfect transformation in his look and behavior to play and even older 102 year old man who is young and jolly at heart and oh boy does he play it well. Veteran Actor Rishi Kapoor who plays his 75 year old son who is a grumpy old man is even better. Well known actor of the Gujrati Film industry Jimit Trivedi too plays his bumpkin act with rib tickling dialogues. The movie‘s other strong point is its dialogues and screenplay which never let’s you have a single boring moment in the movie. The director Umesh Shukla weaves his plot in a way that the story is funny and yet heart touching to even heart wrenching by the end. The message this movie gives to everyone is that till you are alive respect the gift of life and live it to the fullest. The lead actors senior father and son chemistry is lovable and cute enough to steal your heart.
What’s Bad –
The film is focused on only one dimension.
My Verdict –
102 Not Out is a beautiful father and son relationship and bonding drama that is full of heartwarming moments for all ages and is a must watch for AB and RK fans.
