If you missed the Sawai Gandharva Music Festival, then you missed something special.

Classical music lovers from Pune just got an earful at the recently concluded Sawai Gandharva Music Festival that was held at Raman Baug last week. It is the one of the most prominent and sought-after Indian classical music festivals in India. This festival which was led and organised each year by Pt Bhimsen Joshi commemorates the life and achievements of Pt Sawai Gandharva. The festival was held in five sessions from 4pm to 10pm on December 11, 12, and 13. The last day, December 14, had two sessions, the first one that began at 8am and ended by noon and the second session which began at 4pm ended at 10pm. Nachiket Dalal, a third year student says, “I attended this event to accompany my grandmother, as she makes it a point to come every year. It was a great show and I actually enjoyed myself.”
