Yadavrao Tasgaonkar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Bhivpuri Road is a college not known by many but is rapidly heading to become the most popular Engineering College in Mumbai University. With an astonishing campus and a huge number of students (about 4,000), the college is doing all that is needed to be the best.
Computer engineers are pioneers of this change and acting as catalysts, first structured an event took place last month and was a prototype of a huge happening that everyone will be waiting from next year. Organized between Feb 9-13, this tech fest by the computer department became famous as ‘five days in cyber spirit’. For the first time the event got such a great response for all of the programs in it. With a lot of efforts taken on branding and structuring the event, the participation and enthusiasm of students reached the maximum limit. Some of the major events were
– Inspirational seminar by NITIE on entrepreneur awareness proved beneficial for both engineers and management students.
– Being the pioneers of LAN gaming in this organization, Cy-5’s gaming sessions got a record response.
– Live hacking demos by Orchid seven proved to be interesting for geeks.
Cy-5 is started this year and it will continue to rock the tech students every year in early February.
Next time, it will go inter-college for sure.
