Every organisation has certain traditions that have been in place for years, one of Entourage’s traditions is celebrating Children’s Day, the birthday of Sir Jawaharlal Nehru, in the most unique way. This year on the 14th of November, Team Entourage in association with Lions Club of (Bombay) Gateway took the kids of the Gunjan Foundation, an NGO working for the welfare of children, for an exciting day trip.
The children boarded the buses at 8:30AM where they had a light breakfast waiting for them. We also had our Cheif Guest, Armity Cooper – the Governor of Lions Club District 323A-1, inaugurate the days proceedings.
The first stop for the day was at Smaaash – our main sponsor for the event.
The children had an amazing 3 hours on the massive trampoline area, the bumper cars, and all the other rides in the arena. Smaaash also served the children and volunteers with light snack boxes. The smiles on their faces were truly priceless. The children were also served water by Entourage ’16s water partner, Brijeel Aqua, during the course of this event.
The volunteers and children then moved on towards the Gateway of India where the children took a wonderful ferry ride in the Arabian Sea and also had their lunch. They were then dropped back to the NGO by 4:30pm by the volunteers. It was a very exciting day for both, the children as well as the volunteers, and the feeling of success felt upon seeing the children’s happy faces was absolutely incomparable.
