This is a dark comedy thriller by Sriram Raghavan, very much in line with the previous Jdaohnny Gadr and Badlapur. Sriram and his crew comprising some brilliant actors produce another masterpiece.
The cast Ayushman Khurrana, Tabu, Radhika Apte, Anil Dhawan, Ashwini Kalsekar, Manav Vij, Zakir Hussain.
Plot – A series of mysterious events take place in the life of a blind pianist (Ayushmann Khurrana). Now, he must report a crime that he never actually witnessed. Or did he? The plot keeps you to the edge of your seat, and has one question on your mind – What’s going to happen next?
This is in Sriram’s tradition – A director’s film, with a flawless script, though its an adaptation of French movie and a novel. The casting too is perfect with all the actors playing their parts exceptionally well. The music score by Amit Trivedi and lyrics are great. For one the songs are not forced into the movie. Songs are mostly sung by the lead actor Ayushmann who remember, plays a blind singer.
What’s Bad – Nothing. We do miss the familiar star cast from Sriram’s Badlapur – Nawazuddin, Vinay Pathak, Huma Quereshi – well you can’t have it all.
My Verdict – Love Ayushman, Radhika, Tabu and you are wanting to see something hatke and fresh go watch Andhadhun.
My Rating 4. of 5 Stars
