Aahān 2014, UPG, Mumbai, Jan 15-16

Vibrant diversity has always been one of their greatest strengths.

Bringing the best of three worlds together, SVKM’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management hosts their annual festival Aahān – a concoction of the fields of Media, Management and I.T. Now in its fourth year, Aahān houses unique events that bring the competitive edge and provide an exceptional experience, setting them apart among a plethora of festivals that take place each year.

This year, they take you ‘Into the Mystic Vault’ – a realm full of obscure secrets, cryptic clues and the thrill of unravelling the same.

Aahān and its three predecessors have received the association of some of the biggest names in the industry. Among these are actors Aamir Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Boman Irani, Imran Khan, Sharman Joshi, Suchitra Pillai, Shreyas Talpade, Emraan Hashmi and many more. Also gracing the events were celebrated directors like Anurag Basu, Anurag Kashyap, Sanjay Gupta, Rohit Shetty, Nagesh Kukunoor and Vikram Bhatt. The ever-witty Cyrus Broacha, theatre veteran Dolly Thakore and T.V superstar Dilip Joshi – the presence of such stellar personailities is a testimony to the standards Aahān has always aspired to achieve.

This time around too you can look forward to some. Renowned theatre and film actor Manoj Joshi ( of films like Bhool Bhulaiyya, Golmaal – Fun Unlimited and Bhaagam Bhag), celebrated actor Zayed Khan (acted in films like Main Hoon Na, Dus and Love Breakups Zindagi), Vineet Sharma (starred in films like Singham, Shootout At Wadala and Mission Kashmir fame), Ajaz Khan (Rakta Charitra and Bigg Boss 7 fame), Sanjay Gandhi (Love Aaj Kal and popular TV Show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai) and actor-model Tahira Kochhar, along with acclaimed directors like Harry Baweja (Love Story 2050, Deewane, Main Aisa Hi Hoon), Anthony D’souza (Boss, Blue) and Hridesh Kamble (assisted on films like Sarfarosh and Ghulam) are expected to grace our festival.

Still Photographer Amit Ashar (in movies like Kabul Express and Rang De Basanti) will be joining the revelry. Illustrious singer Shaan will be adding to the gusto of our closing ceremony. Eminent writer Ritesh Shah
(D-Day, Kahaani, Force and Namastey London) and distinguished trade analyst and film journalist Amod Mehra will also be a part of the festivities. Dr. Monica Matani who has represented Mumbai at Times of India’s LEAD India Campaign is also expected to be present at Aahān 2014.
